The Redbirds got outstanding performances in singles and doubles to finish in third in conference, behind Edwardsville and Belleville East. After an impressive duals conference season that saw the Redbirds go 5-2, the birds turned up their games in the conference tournament. Five players advanced to the semi-final matches in singles, with Jackson Scheiter advancing to the conference championship at #6 singles and finishing second. Allan Bower and Christian defeated players from Belleville West, who they had lost to just a week earlier. The third place finish is the fifth consecutive one for the Redbirds, who have not finished out of the top three since 2009. Next up for the Redbirds is sectionals.
